History of
The Friends Foundation

Rooted in Service.
Built by Community.

The Friends Foundation began in 2004 when a small group of community volunteers came together with a shared mission: to help the elderly of Dripping Springs continue living safely and independently at home.

Officially founded in March 2004, The Friends Foundation has grown through the dedication of members, supporters, volunteers and neighbors who believe our senior citizens deserve care, dignity and connection.

Today, The Friends Foundation offers several meaningful programs designed to support the needs of local seniors. Our Daily Bread™ remains our flagship program, providing essential meal support and a personal connection for elderly residents in our community.

Every Dollar Stays Local

The Friends Foundation is proud that all money raised is used to benefit elderly neighbors in our community. Board members and volunteers receive no salary or compensation, and the organization operates with very little overhead.

Many expenses are donated or provided at a reduced rate. Any costs that are not donated are limited to those directly connected to fundraising efforts and the organization’s mission.
