Bonnie Eissler

Bonnie Eissler brings a lifelong commitment to community service and a deep appreciation for supporting seniors to her role on The Friends Foundation board. Her connection to the organization began personally, when Our Daily Bread provided meals and companionship to her mother during a time of recovery—an experience that left a lasting impression on their family.

With decades of volunteer experience across education, literacy, history, and community programs, Bonnie has been actively involved both locally and internationally. From teaching ESL and serving in community organizations to documenting local history through oral storytelling, her work has consistently centered on connection and service.

Bonnie has a special passion for working with senior citizens, shaped by years of volunteer work and meaningful interactions with older adults in various settings. She brings empathy, perspective, and a strong desire to support programs like Lifeline and Our Daily Bread, while also exploring ways to incorporate storytelling and family history to enrich the lives of those served.

She encourages others to get involved, sharing that supporting The Friends Foundation not only benefits a deserving and often overlooked population, but also brings a sense of purpose and connection in return.
